The Loire Valley, UNESCO World Heritage Site

Why is the Loire Valley inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site? What is at stake, and what are the implications? This is the subject of a conference that will be held on May 11 at 6:00 p.m. in the Duplessis Mornay room of the Saumur town hall.

The Loire Valley, UNESCO World Heritage Site

To accompany the implementation of its management plan, the Mission Val de Loire has been running an informational campaign since 2009 with the support of two Régions - Centre and Pays de la Loire - and in partnership with the French government. Its aim is to increase public awareness of the Outstanding Universal Value of the Loire Valley, its fragility, and strategies for preservation and sustainable development.

Rémi Deleplancque, in charge of the educational/cultural section of the Mission Val de Loire, will conduct the conference.
